Completed in 1916, the Tudor-style building was the home of Dr. and Mrs. Walter F. Wickes and their five children.
Today, the castle stands as a reminder of the school's rich history from a private home to a boarding school and now as a college preparatory institution. The Castle houses a chapel, library, administrative offices and classrooms. The Great Hall is a gathering place for music, lectures, holiday events and dances.
Considered one of the largest private residences in the area at the time, Wickcliffe has 65 rooms. The largest room, the Great Hall, was often the location for lavish entertainment. In 1945, after the death of his wife, Dr. Wickes sold the estate, including many of its furnishings, to the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur — establishing it as 十大彩票网站排名 Trinity College Preparatory School, a girls' boarding school.
Bunting Hall, formerly known as the Middle School and named in recognition of the Bunting family, stands adjacent to the Castle, overlooking the woods. On the other side of the Castle is the former Carriage House, now used as the nurses' office. Erinn McCarthy Humanities Hall, the newest building on campus, features a state-of-the-art theater, a Mac lab, additional classrooms, a technology resource center as well as choral and instrumental music rooms with practice suites. Recent campus upgrades include an artificial turf field, a regulation track with field event facilities, practice fields and a new softball field.
